Elysian Cafe in Hoboken is widely praised for its inviting European-inspired ambiance and cozy yet lively atmosphere. Patrons frequently highlight the quality and flavor of its diverse menu, including standout items like expertly crafted cocktails, fresh salads, and hearty sandwiches. The attentive and friendly service contributes to the overall positive experience. While the cafe is popular and often busy, leading to a vibrant but sometimes noisy environment, guests appreciate the consistent food quality and reasonable prices for the area. Some mention minor pricing discrepancies, but this does not detract from the overall strong reputation and customer loyalty evident at this beloved French restaurant and bar.

We went for happy hour this afternoon. Benny the bartender was outstanding my martini and wife's Aperol were perfect. We had a nice charcuterie which Benny recommended. The cheese and meats were outstanding. A while ago we had brunch at this restaurant. It was our first happy hour. The atmosphere was relaxed. Overall, we had a great experience Highly recommend

Elysian Cafe is beautifully designed and quite cozy with strong European vibes. The cheeseburger is literally one of the best I’ve ever had. Juicy, high quality, perfect. The sirloin steak salad is fresh and healthy and the steak is tender and full of flavor. My son’s lobster salad was so delicious, he ordered a second one. All around, this is a fabulous restaurant with a gorgeous ambiance. Can’t go wrong by eating here. End your meal with a cappuccino.

I just happened to walk by this place last night and it was packed…. I decided to try it for lunch and it did not disappoint! I had the 1/2 prime rib sandwich with a cup of French Onion soup… Both excellent! I told the waiter it was excellent… and he noted that they are always full with their ‘regular’ customers… which is a good sign! I’ll be back!

Beautiful French cafe with good food and ambiance. 4 of us had brunch and the total came to almost 70$. I loved the decor and the servers were really nice. The place was packed even in -19° c outside so its reputation precedes the name. Very cosy but it can get loud because of how many people are inside at a time.

Second time here. Came for brunch. Food is always on point and pretty well priced for the area. Didnt have a rezzy but was sat right away at 11 on a Sunday. Prices on their website are not accurate so just be aware.

I had dinner here last night and absolutely loved the vibe. It instantly transported me back to Paris, from the charming decor to the cozy, romantic atmosphere. I had been missing the City of Light, and for a few sweet moments, I truly felt like I was back there. The staff was lovely, especially our waitress, who was warm, attentive, and made the evening even more special. I ordered the French onion soup and the roasted chicken, both were delicious. The soup was rich and comforting, with that perfect cheesy top, and the chicken was tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was the perfect late afternoon into early evening meal, calm , delightful, and filled with that understated elegance only a true French-inspired café can offer. Will definitely be coming back. Merci, Elysian!

The onion soup was great, I also tried the Prime Rib sandwich and although it was good, I found it to be too onion forward for a meat sandwich. The potato Gnocchi was ok, I thought it needed more seasoning. Sweet potato fries were also good and crispy. I would not order the oysters again since they did not feel so fresh.
